Waves For Water (W4W) is a global humanitarian aid organization that implements clean water solutions with remote communities through filtration systems and rainwater harvesting.
Our mission is to provide access to clean water for everyone that needs it.
Access to clean water is a game-changer. The overall health benefits are obvious, but the ripple effect that happens when clean water is introduced into a community is profound, and often overlooked. Sure, the risk of waterborne illnesses such as, Cholera, Salmonella, Giardia, E. Coli, and Typhoid, is mitigated–but it also positively affects many other aspects of life (i.e. improving personal and civic well-being, enhancing all around health, reducing poverty and indigence, and increasing opportunities for education and employment) - resulting in an overall individual and community advancement
Our Story
Waves For Water's presence in the Philippines began as a response to Super typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in 2013 where over 4.3 million Filipinos were affected. Two years after, the country office was established and formally registered as a non-stock and non-profit organization.
Since then, W4W Philipipnes has worked with local communities across majority of the provinces in the country, and provided over a million Filipinos with clean water access in collaboration with private individuals, corporate donors, government offices, and grassroots organizations.

Pass the Glass is a way of life.
We drink through a glass that carries life-sustaining water. This water has brought us to different parts of the Philippines sharing the different stories to one another with the same goal in mind - clean water for everyone.
Pass the Glass is a nationwide campaign to celebrate our collective work together with our clean water couriers (clickable link) to our partners in the public and private sectors.Providing clean water is a solvable problem - we can all help!
Over the course of eight months, Pass the Glass showcases Waves for Water Philippines’ work throughout the years by 1) roadtrip completing all provinces , 2) revisiting our communities the past 10 years and 3) inspire the Philippines’ to be part of our mission.
On March 22 onwards, you are invited to join the #passtheglass challenge through Instagram and TikTok to raise awareness on the ongoing water crisis and generate support for the organizations’ programs. Simply post a photo or video of yourself passing a glass with the hashtag #passtheglass, and share in the caption why you’re supporting the cause for clean water.
